  1. Last night: 4th of October 2017, I went outside to view the sky. I live in a city with a high level of light pollution, yet I could still see some stars and the Moon was so bright it look like the Sun in an image I took. So, my point is, if the astronaut’s camera could not see stars, there is NO way possible for an astronaut not to see stars.

    No atmosphere equals no light diffusion. The Sun would be just one very big star. Light cannot illuminate a vacuum.
